What is expected

The CAUGHT Foundation is always happy to have volunteers, but please know this type of work can be very heavy and possibly triggering. The work we do is often thankless and can take a negative toll on your mental health.

Before offering to volunteer, we recommend you have a positive and stable support network, as well as experience working with difficult, interpersonal situations. Training in offering trauma-informed care is an excellent way to help prepare yourself for this kind of work.

We respect the professionalism and experience that current and former law enforcement officers exhibit while interacting with their communities. We expect our volunteers to uphold the same level of professionalism.

How you can help

The CAUGHT Foundation is always grateful for help. We are 100% run by volunteers, and every helping hand goes a long way.

Some of the area we need help from volunteers in are:

• Monitor emails

• Monitor phone calls

• Assist with event planning

• Assist with fundraising

• Assist with info booths at community events

Whether you’re a police officer, survivor of human trafficking or someone who is passionate about helping people reclaim their stolen lives, there is a role for you.
